Update on Fr. Hart: 9-12-2017 (From Matt Gallagher)

I talked to him over the labor day weekend and he seemed to be doing well. He is getting treatments weekly on Thursdays at CARTI in little rock.  He is supposed to be staying in tontitown until Christmas even though he is not acting as the pastor there any longer. I believe this is mostly to give him time to get moved out at a pace that doesn't run him down.  In little rock he stays with one of his sisters.  The treatments are pretty rough on him and he gets a little depressed after each one. From my experience (my wife has chemo weekly also), this is common with most chemo patients during the early stages of treatment.  He did go buy a fishing license and he fishes with his brother in law when he feels up to it.  Keep praying folks.  I firmly believe that we can pray him through this if only we try. I will say this in Greg's place - God bless each of you.

Update on Fr. Hart:

I have news on Father Hart. He is headed back to Arkansas and should be back some time Sunday 8-13-2017.  He will eventually be in Little Rock and be getting his chemo at UAMS.  The bishop has announced that Greg will be on indefinite medical leave.  The chemo at UAMS will be starting this week.  Please pass the word on.  For now, he will still be getting mail at St. Joseph's in Tontitown.

Please pray for Fr. Hart.

Fr. Hart is very ill. He is at the Mayo Clinic awaiting chemotherapy for an extremely rare bone marrow disorder called amyloidosis.  Please ask them to pray for him as this is going to be a long hard fight.
